Is my hibsicus plant safe outside today?


Question:i put it outside yesterday since it was hot and it was warm over night. its still out there since today is said to be nice temps for it but there are storms. like what u see in this radar (if it works)

is it safe out there? i'm at work so i cant take care of it. should i call home and ask someone to bring it in? i dont want anything to happen to it

Rain will not hurt your hibiscus plant, just make sure to drain the excess water when you get home. Hibiscus thrives in the South and even in Zone 7. However, in Zone 7, they die in the winter. I have always planted my hibiscus directly into the ground and never in a pot. When I lived in South Texas, I had many plants outside and they all flourished, even in rain.

I did not check your site but watching the news, I can guess where you may be. I hope the rain stops soon.


hibiscus are very strong...i had some come back after freezes.. as long as it is watered, it will be ok..they like full sun.
Your hibiscus plant should be fine. That plant is durable and lovely. I have one planted in the ground in my yard. That plant was not blooming at one point, then with some care it came back...
