Question:

Answers:
They start browning off at stalk, and if you tap them they should sound hollow. Usually take 12-15 weeks to mature.

push on the stem belly, should be soft
cantalopes by the smell
watermelons by the hollow thump and yellow bellies
they should both come off their vines fairly easily
The vine end that connects to the melon/cantaloupe starts to dry.
