What to charge for clearing half acre edge of woods...?
Question:Question is I started this job, and I think I boned myself...I'm 8 hours into it already, and i figured three day's, thats working about 4-5 hours per day, because thats all I can handle doing it all myself all by hand, only a chainsaw, and pruning shears. I need to clear the backyard woodline border surrounding the woods in her back yard, clearing about 3-4 feet into the wooded area around her whole back yard, guessing about 1/2 acre worth. She offered me $100 to do it all, I laughed and said NO, but I would consider doing it for $300.00, but now that i started doing it, my body feels like I already did about $600.00 worth of work in just 5 hours. I drained tired, and could not do a stand alone 8 hour day myself on this job physically.

I can sympathize with you...I have my own to do!
I'm not a professional but I suggest that you charge by the footage/yardage. Say if you do 20 feet of border (3-4ft deep)@ $10 dollars a foot. It would cost her $200 and so forth. Hope you can get her to realize the work involved.
Good Luck!
Being tired does make the job more expensive.
Plan on a 10 minute break each hour, and that is part of the job. Lunch break at 4 hours. 3 days at $100 a day, 6 hours is $16 an hour. If you can't make $16 an hour otherwise, its good.
This is why physical labor is done by the poor and strong. Indoor types can't handle it.
I once cut up a medium size tree that fell in my pool one winter. Put an inch of muscle on my back, saved a couple hundred dollars.
