When do I plant fruits and vegetables in south florida?

Question:Is there a place online that lists the best months to plant different things? Or somewhere i can go and get a bunch of information all on one website?

Answers:
Do a search on Zone 10 gardening (that is what south Fla. is.
I am in 8-9 up in the Tampa area.

You must start a garden when the weather is still cool Not cold about March, you can start your seeds inside until we are past any chance of chilly weather. In the summer if the plants are not big enough they will drop dead from the heat.

It just occurred to me in zone 10 you are tropical and do not get the cool weather we get up here. So you can plant big plants year round, just do not allow the dirt to fall off while planting and keep well watered till they root in. I think you should be able to start a veg or flower garden from seed from Sept till about April. That gives them a chance to get up in size before the heat of summer.

Good Luck.

get you a farmers almanac it has the complete planting tables for all over the united states.
