Ring-bark (or Girdle) it.
Cut the tree down, at least that way it can be used for firewood, or be put in a chipper for mulch. A poisoned tree will do nobody any good.
Aw, leave the tree alone. What harm has it ever done to you.
Stop being a bully and go pick on something that is mobile
Cut down the tree and smear some oil on the cut.
I'm assuming by the term "kill" a tree that you are worried about the effect on the environment, or something like that? And if so, why not just cut it down, rather than use chemicals that could be harmful to you and the environment?
If it's a big tree you may need to cut it down as if it dies it could fall over onto something (or someone), but copper nails supposed to kill a tree.
There's a professional weed killer which also works on trees. It's called Weedol. But a a better option which definitely works.
Put thick bleach on it. Works Eveytime and won't grow back. However, Whatever happens you'll have to cut the tree down. If youcut about a foot up from the ground then drill holes in the stump and pour the bleach into the holes. Drill about 25 holes though and pour a whol bottle of bleach into it.
IT REALLY DOES WORK!
A copper nail is suppose to work
try an auger drill with a 1 inch bit x 2 or 3 ft,drill a hole as far as it'll go ,then pour enzyme based powder from home depots garden dept,,,,,,,,,,itl take a few months, but eventually eat down through the center ring and kill it
Ammonium Sulphamate crystals which are available from most DIY centres as the boxed 'Root Out' product. The crystals should be sprinkled over the freshly cut stump face concentrating them towards the circumference. Once in place the crystals should be covered and stapled down with a plastic dustbin bag to prevent the rain washing the crystals away; it will also prevent pets & children from touching them.
Another chemical available is SBK, which is easily available and comes supplied as a liquid in a plastic bottle. The mixture has a strong acrid smell which is difficult to remove from hands and clothes so it is essential to use plastic gloves and care while mixing. Follow the directions on the packaging. Application to the stump face is best carried out after holes have been drilled or slots cut with a chainsaw to facilitate penetration. Cover the application with plastic sheet and staples.
Chopping a tree down will kill it! It is also less likely to damage or poison your garden and will be easier. Avoid pouring chemicals on your garden at all costs!
my mum drilled lots of holes in the tree and put petrol in it killed it good but it was a large tree so neighbour had to get it cut down before it fell on house lol
