IS there an HERBAL mixture I can make/spray on ROSES2protect from bugs??

Question:a homemade herbal mixture I can make at home that would repel insects from my rose bushes?

Answers:
Yes- mash some onion, garlic or chives in cold water, leave for a hour or two and then strain. Add a tiny drop of washing up detergent and mix. Spray onto the roses and it will deter aphids, blackfly etc. You can also use other very pungent herbs instead (e.g. sage) as this also works. The detergent is just added so that the water sticks to the roses and doesn't just roll off the plant.
