How do you CARE 4 lavendar? Is it "easy care"?

Question:any special nutrients I could add to soil for flourishing?
just got a nice pot of it today .

Answers:
Whether you can 'grow lavender' depends on what area you live in. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and we have whole FARMS of it because it's so 'easy to grow' up here ... our area is an 8 ... if you live in a HIGHER number area, I'd keep your lavender in a 'pot' and give it lots of extra water, and keep it in 'bright sunlight' only about 1/2-3/4 of the day. If you live in a lower number, then you should keep it 'warmer' and in a 'sheltered spot' that gets lots of sun. In BOTH CASES, though, you should know that your lavender may not be a 'perennial' (it will be in the 8 areas, though) and you'll probably have to buy a new plant every spring. GOOD LUCK!

Eeew! Gross! I hate lavender!
