New summer lawn.yellow in middle?

Question:We laid new summer sod in AZ a month ago and the middle is turning yellow most likely because we let is grow too long before cutting it the first time sao the water wasn't reaching the middle.

Can the yellow parts be fixed with lots of water and lawn fertilizer? What should I do?

Answers:
spray for grubs! and fertilize with a fertilizer high in "iron"! thats it!

I don't know what part of AZ but click on KTVK-TV/gardenguy.com !He answers a lot of these questions! Luck to you!!
Cut the lawn early in the morning.only water early morning and evening. If you just resod the lawn did you roll it after a good soaking to smush the roots into the soil? Was the soil beneath it raked a bit loose at the top? Any of these things not being done could cause your problem. A bug infestation could also. If you fetilize don't overdo it...if you burn it now when it's already struggling that could put the final nail in the coffin.
Some fertilizer shouldn't be used after a certain point in the season. It could actually fry your lawn even further. Your best bet is to call your local garden center and ask them. Tell them when you put the sod down. They will be able to tell you what the best thing to do is.
