Ive made several slug traips with left over lager but seem to have no luck, is it just beer or is lager ok?

Question:i seem to be carting the slugs to the traips myself if is because im using the wrong drink left over stella artois, is the carton i use wrong too full etc,

Answers:
Try sinking a plastic cup into the ground to lip level pour some stella into bottom about one inch no more leave over night I see no reason why it should not work , It's worked for me for the past 20 years.

It is anything fermented; including soy sauce!

Maybe your pan is not shallow enough for them to crawl into.
Pour some salt if beer not working, it's weird how beer is not working I have try beer on my yard and it works probably those slugs are alcoholic or try this mix some salt with beer I never try it before but it my work. Good luck!
the lip of the container needs to be level with your soil.. or the slugs can't crawl in.. a pie pan, buried to it's lip works very well.. you can use a cheap, disposable one if you want.

any beer will work..

randomly sprinkling salt around your garden is not a good idea.. plants don't like salt either.
i dont use either lager or beer. i crush up egg shells and sprinkle around plants, as the slugs crawl over, they are cut and die. in my area(ont canada) this year the slugs have been very thick, the eggshells seemed to help out my hostas
any sweet drink will do , try blackcurrent, don't waste the beer !
