How to get rid of chipmunks?????

Question:around the flower beds they are very destuctive

Answers:
You can do what my clever brother does . here is how: chipmunks love sunflower seeds, so get a fairly big bucket, fill it with water about 3/4 full and sprinkle in a couple handfuls of sunflower seeds. Next, get a board about 2 ft. in length and tilt it against the bucket ( one end on ground, the other just on the rim of the bucket) Last step, arrange one sunflower seed at a time going up the board, maybe about 2-3 inches apart. The chipmunks will eat them one by one up the board, then see more of them in the bucket and ker splash!! they can't swim or get out ... Presto!!, no more chipmunks!! ... of course there is the nasty little task of scooping out the poor little critter and disposing of it, but hey!, that's what men are for ... lol

They seem to stay away when I sprinkle really hot chili powder around, the hotter the better. Moles don't like it either when you put it down their holes.
that, or inject rattlesnake venom into some peanuts and sprinkle around your flower beds.

Probably better go with the cayenne pepper thing.
I can't remember if I saw this on a gardening show or read it somewhere, but you can buy fox urine in a powder form, that you sprinkle around your flowers. It's not toxic, so it won't hurt you or any pets. The chipmunks think the a fox has made a home in your flower bed, and they should stay away. (Basically, it will make them think that a predator has moved into the area) The only problem is that you have to reapply after a rain, so you need to maybe put it on the perimeter, since you will be watering the flowers. I think you might be able to get this from a flower shop or hardware store.

At Home Depot, I bought something that is supposed to work the same way, but it's a powder with I think black pepper as the main ingredient. I haven't tried to use it yet. I'm trying to keep my cat from using the bathroom under the deck.
