You can always trust your own produce so if you know of an allotment organisation why not try and swap some of your own seed (which I guess you save) for something different. that way you will probably get a load more advice and tips than you would ever find on a packet.
Any seed range just when your buying the plant examine the plant(s) to see whether they look healthy or not
plant food use miracle grow and other brands, the golden rule is USE LITTLE CHEMICALS AS POSSIBLE!
All seeds of vegetables are `trustworthy`. Few, if any, garden vegetables are genetically modified, and how you grow them controls how `safe` vegetables are. Most `fruit` bushes or trees are supplied as growing plants and are perfectly safe. Again, how YOU grow fruit and veg decides how `safe` it is. Avoid pesticides, use safe soap sprays, be as `organic` as possible.
Check out Harrisseed.com . They have a full line of "organic" seeds. They will be happy to send you one of their awesome catalogs.
