Need to camoflage a slope in my backyard, any landscaping ideas?

Question:Our backyard has a slope from the fence to about 6 feet out. It's about 4 feet difference. i need some ideas to camoflage the slope. There's not much that can be done as far as leveling without having to replace the entire fence.

Answers:
Instead of trying to hide it make a feature of it with a fairly steep terrace of flower beds, putting low lying plants at the lower levels in the front and gradually increase plant hight as you get higher up the terrace.
or a alpine feature with large stones and gravel and some lovely alpine plants

One of the best ways to camouflage a slope is to plant a ground cover. The ground cover depends where you live (the plant choices would differ ie. Hawaii would need different plant than a New England setting) and the light conditions. A ground cover would also reduce soil erosion.
depending on where you live, this works great! will cover a slope quickly, needs very little water, and will take direct sun.

the flowers do attract honey bees, but the bees are more interested in the flowers than anything else. i can literally walk through a whole yard of this stuff and the bees just mind there business.
Cover with Spreading Shrubs which have low, horizontal branching so used almost like ground cover.

Some are Bearberry, Cotoneaster, Creeping Oregon Grape, Dwarf Pittosporum, Heather, Creeping Juniper, Shrub Roses, Japanese Barberry, Wintercreeper, Shrubby Cinquefoil, etc

Their branches & foliage will break up rainfall preventing 'mudslide' & their roots will hold the soil in place. Also helps prevent mowing, etc. & will look sooo lovely!
You can put in a step level flower beds

or turn it into a descending rock garden.
