Anyone here who takes care of caterpillars so they can grow into beautiful butterflies?

Question:

Answers:
Yes, I plant dill and parsley and fennel. The butterflies come and pollinate these herbs and lay their eggs on them. The caterpillars hatch and eat some of my herbs then spin their cocoons and turn into more butterflies.
I plant plenty so there is enough for cooking and sharing with these lovely creatures.
I always tell folks if you are going to grow these herbs please be prepared to share with the butterflies. By planting them you are encouraging their mothers to come to your garden.
I have lots of swallowtail butterflies in my yard as a result!
So many beautiful butterflies are killed by cars it is nice to help those that we can.

I raised butterflies before, but are you asking a particular question or just want to know if anyone here does it?
No, but I raised Crickets so I could hear them chirp.they are doing it right now outside my window!
haha this takes me back to kindergarten when we build habitats for caterpillars and waited for them to turn into butterflies. all we did was take a box and flip it so its up like a window, poke holes for air, put plastic wrap over the openings. oh and make sure you fasten a branch in there so the caterpillar feels like home and provide lots of leafs, idk if it matters what kind??
this might be totally irrelevant since we did this in kindergarten, but id thought id share. good luck!
I used to take care of them... But, what's the question?
