Cutting in lawn?

Question:When useing the trimer to trim the grass from around trees, side of house or fence is there something you can buy so the platic wires do not break so fast. I have a older eletic trim and can not find anything that fit like on gas trimer.(like the gators) any ideas.

no, don't waste ur money on these things! buy a bigger caliper line! i use anything from .85 and up..tears through anything from thick grass to small saplings! good luck

Put two wires in at the same time, and they wont break as often

or just spray the area with round-up after you have trim ed it,..then do that about once every 5 weeks, and check on a product called a pre- emergent, and that should help keep the grass from growing for a while,..in the areas you have sprayed with the round-up

I hate string trimmers. I use Round-up or Weed-B-Gone.
