Will my Tomato seedling grow?


Question:I got three tomato seedlings growing in a plastic cup, I have transplanted 1 of them in my garden and It has just rained now in East London and I have covered their root well and wanna ask if they have a 100% of chance growing oh yeh i havent damaged the root at all i just dug the compost with a spoon and planted it.

should be fine. As your tomatos get bigger, water them at the base, so the foliage does not get water on it unless it rains. This will help prevent disease and less invasion from slugs and snails.

I am growing tomatoes from seedlings too, and they're doing great. The plant nursery told me to water once a week with MiracleGro. They're growing like wildfire now. Can't wait to taste the fruits of my labor!
I'm in the US (Texas) but when I start my seedlings, they need to be started inside about 2-3 months before the last freeze. To get a good crop, they need to be like a foot tall by the time the warm weather comes. I grow mine by my kitchen window in peat pots so that they can be planted directly into the ground or a pot without uprooting the plant. Good luck!
You should be OK. Feed them and keep them in a sunny spot.
