Question:

Answers:
what would you rather bee or a wasp??

I'd use a shovel. Would be hard to dig the hole with just a pick..
Well you could pick it to loosen it then shovel it out! Good Luck!
digger
I'd pick a pick.
A pick to loosen whatever needs to be dug, and a shovel to clear the detritus.
Depends on the dirt.
depends on the ground...but i would take shovel
If the dirt/gravel is hard I would use a pick to break it up then use the shovel
shovel, if I want the exercise.

Backhoe, if I'm lazy and want to get the hole dug fast.
it would depend on the type of soil. if it was soft i'd use the shovel...if hard i'd use the pick first to break it up
An lazy on the dole chav with a pick
i would use a shovel but keep a pick near-by in case I need to dig up rocks or gravel.
I would pay my kid brother £5 to do it for me.
A shovel has more control over a pick. A pick is great for starting a hole but not good to finish one.
I would use post hole diggers. Shovels and picks are ok for trenches.
You can't dig with a pick worth a crap, unless you are using the shovel end. works ok if you are just making a small hole, but for any decent size hole use a real shovel.
I'd pick a spade !!
For soft soil, a shovel.
For hard soil, a pick to loosen and then a shovel. Pick for loosening rocks as well.
I also have a small pick (handle less than a foot long) that is great for small holes.
a shovel to get it started, a post hole digger if the soil is easy and a long digging bar if the dirt is rocky...
