What is eating my birch tree?

Question:Holes in all the leaves...AHHHH

and how do i stop it

Answers:
What do the holes look like? Are the leaves skeletonized (green leaf gone, but the veins are still there)? This is Japanese beetle time and they feed on anything in the rose family. Birch trees are part of the rose family and Japanese beetle love birch trees. Not much that you can do at this time. Carbaryl (Sevin) will control Japanese beetle. But this is a dust and must be reapplied after every rain. Pretty hard to dust a tree. Next year apply Bayer Advanced Tree & Shrub to your birch at the start of May. The active ingrediant (imidicloprid) is a sytemic that is translocated by the plant from the roots to the leaves. This process take two months. Then when the Japanese beetle eat your leaves they die. But you'll have to try this next year.

Get some Lindane Leaf minor spray, it will cure the holes. You may also want to apply a systemic bug killer--birches are very prone to things that bore into them.
Wish I had the answer (Sorry)
Just this morning I went and got some spray that I could spray on everything..
Luck with your tree
