What is the best way to get ride of Poision Ivy, I have it growing all over my property?

Buy a commercial sprayer and fill it with diesel fuel and spray the poison ivy. The sun will heat it during the day and it will kill it thru the root. Please be careful while doing this because the diesel is very toxic also. Wear a mask and long sleeves and long pants while doing this. It is very difficult and time consuming to kill poision ivy. They make commercial products also to kill this but I have used diesel fuel in the past, of course now diesel fuel is expensive too. Good luck and be safe.

You can buy round up and that works good but you have to soak it down really good so it gets to the roots, and you have to do it more that once, or you can hire a yardman that's not allergic to it hand have him pull it all up.
I used roundup and after it was dead,in a week or two, I remove it from the property with gloves on and long sleeve shirt and immediately take a shower with soap and water after I am done. I take my clothes off and put them in the washer and wash them immediately also. I have never had a problem getting poison ivy myself. Good luck.
PS Don't burn it...you can still get poison ivy from burning it, and you can get it in your lungs that way.
The best I know of is to just pull it up by the roots. I fear the stuff so much from past experiences I would hate to have to do that. Just prepare yourself the best you can by wearing gloves and like long sleeve shirt and go at it. They say if you just come in contact with it you can wash it off. I've never just washed it off before so I dunno about that. Hopefully you will find a better way to get rid of that mess. I recommend getting some really good anti-itch cream first.

Round-Up is great but if it's on or near good plants you don't want to use it. It will kill everything!
There are commercial products that will kill it but not harm other plants or trees.
Natural ways are to cut it close to ground then 'smother' it by placing cardboard, newspaper, thick mulch, or... over it or dig or pull it up making sure you get all of it including roots.
DO NOT BURN IT!! It will be airborne & can get on skin &, worse, into lungs. Even after dead it is still toxic.

Brush Killer A or an equivalent herbacide is best. Definitely don't pull it up and burn it, it will spread the poison. My neighbor did that and got it internally, nearly died becuase there was no way to treat it.
