I pick several ripe tomatoes today , the skin is tough , and the flesh tastes meally, whats wrong?
Question:the are big boy hybrid variety, any info would be appreciated

If you say they are ripe maybe they are overripe. Trying picking them earlier. Or if they aren't ripe enough wait a couple of days and try them after they have sat off the vine.
meally? Did any maggots get into em? And nice ripe tomatoes are suppose to have tough skins i believe.
well they are fresh and not ready to eat yet or either they aren't for the eatting at all.
Maybe you dont water and fertilise properly. Try some Phosphorus.
try picking a couple early while still green set in windowsill till red see if that makes differance you may be just youstto store bought madders
