How to keep mosquitoes away naturally?

Question:We have had a lot of flooding lately and the mosquitoes are really bad now. I need to be able to sit on my porch without worrying about them.

Answers:
Buy a net to put around the porch, buy candles or other stuff that is supposed to keep them away.

Garlic... Eat a lot of it or have it around. Horse owner feed their horses garlic to keep mosquitos away. Also there is a lemon eucalyptus recipe I am sure you can find online. Good Luck!
Best thing you can doo is go and empty and standing water nearby your home. If there are any areas with too much water to empty, you can buy "mosquito dunks". Break off a small piece, and throw a bit into each place with water. It will kill the larvae, without killing other water life (like minnows and any birds or insect life that visit for a drink).

Citronella candle all around your porch will discourage them from congregating where you hang out, though they are attracted to concentrations CO2 - the exhalation of animals - so the candles, plus a little natural bug repellant from the candles, and maybe some on yourself, will help - since choosing to stop exhaling really isn't an option.
the most practical answer is screening net.

yes, garlic, you can also eat Brewers Yeast Tablets, they don't like the taste of it in your blood.

also, they don't like moving air, so putting a fan on your porch may help

mossies also aim for contrasting colours, so wear medium tones, not black or white.
