I barely have any grass in my yard , what can i do outside without spending money?

After someone mows their yard you can go rake up the grass which will have seeds in it. You can spread this around your yard and keep it watered.
What i did was look around the neighborhood to see if anyone was thowing out a tree or bush.. But if not look online at walmart.com print out coupons and get some mirical grow fertilizar, trust me it works like a charm... Also keep your grass watered at least 2 a week...

I think if I were starting with bare earth, I might put in plants native to my area, which will thrive on the weather and rainfall we usually get, and devote only a small area to grass (as a play surface for visiting friends' kids). You can probably pick up seed in local meadows and woodlands for free.
Look at the dirt. Anything else is gonna cost you something!
if you have trees and its shaded a lot your choises are limited mulch and flower pots or planters choise is choises look into what grass grows best in shade plants also if you are going to buy plants go to outside markets they are cheaper than homedepot or lowes flea markets excetra a really good plant is the vermeliad but cost is unbelievable find somebody who will let you take a few clumps off thers to get started ounce ther astablished ther easy to grow and spread you also might look at your trees during the day and see if ther are any to trim back as to give more sunlight to grass
