Look in the yellow pages under landscaping. Many of them will sell large landscaping boulders and install them too. As for cost, you can check with them, and even look at their websites to get an idea.
Wherever you end up buying them, make sure you bring a sturdy over the shoulder boulder holder to transport them.
In our area of Michigan, "boulders" are .50 cents a pound, yes, that is high and limits one to the size they want if they're watching their pocket book so, I made my own.

I took one inch "chicken wire" and a five gallon plastic pail, I formed my own "boulder" with this and common plumbers wire. I then mixed cement, "quick dry" and made my own boulders out of this.
It was both fun and worked so well, I made several and people actually think they're boulders.

I did the same with adobe bricks after watching Mexicans make them in a National Geographic special. I made 200 feet of sidewalk around the house this way. The bricks were about $4.49 apiece, much to expensive so? I was easy but quite an adventure, over 1300 of them.
In NE Pennsylvania there are many stone quaries. You can go to one of these and buy bolders directly from the owner. It is rare to find a blue stone quarry that doesn't have bolders on the same property.
Try some of the hauling and dumping companies in your area. Depending on your size definition of boulder, they may just let you have them if you can carry them off, one way or another.

Buying them one by one at landscaping/water gardening places can get expensive fast !!
