Now is not the best time to sow seed for lawns

If I might suggest that you get any hardwearing lawn seed and John inness no2 compost and a bag of lawn sand. Then mow the lawn, aerate it with a garden fork, every meter or so, then bursh in the lawn sand to improve drainage, coat the top of lawn with the compoast and throw down load of seed, a good water and you may be in business

Be careful of feeding the birds at the same time though, they love grass seed!
Hi

I'm Ivan and i live in malaysia. we here usually don't grow grass with seeds... its a bit time consuming...
Normally you can drop by to nursery fell the grass you desire.. which is ready grown like a carpet.. bought 1 to 2 ft of it... split it in small pieces and plant around the area of your land scape.. then the rest nature will take its course...
If you want a quick fix, rye grass grows very quickly and is beautiful, the only problem is that it won't come back next year. If you put down another type of seed to match the rest of your lawn, you can use rye grass to fill in till it grows. Just keep it watered, maybe use a sprinkler, for 3-4 days till it starts growing, and it will quickly fill in your spots until your regular grass takes over.
