Is mowing a good exercise or bad?
Question:i sometimes mow is it good for me or bad for me?
Answers:
Anything you can do to get moving and get your heart pumping is good! Make sure that you use good posture when you mow or that could be harmful to your back.
well whats goona be so bad about mowing
Pushing a mower is good for your legs, bad for your ears and lungs. A small gas engine actually pollutes more than a full size vehicle.
its kinda good. you work on you arms because you are pushing the lawn mower. so its good.
dont mow over your feet!
mowing is good for you. it burns calories and the lawn looks nice.
it's good! How could it be bad?
its mostly good for you unless u have back problems
well im sure its good its definately better than sitting on the couch. I like to mow, it makes me feel tuff..hehehhee.
It depends on the day that you do it on. Generally it is a good thing. Not only that - it is necessary too. If you don't mow your lawn, it won't take long for your neighbors or the police to file a complaint.
I've just finished mowing an hour ago and I hurt. My vote is it's bad (Doctor, it hurts when I do this - Dont do that).
i'd say anything aerobic or anarobic that doesnt cause distress is a good exercise. i try to keep telling myself that when my grass needs a trim, that it is exercise. when you say mowing, i'm assuming you mean the lawn.
Rowing, meowing or mowing?
Okay, mowing. Lugging a big, clunky electric or gas mower is exercise because they are big, unwieldy machines. Mowing with a reel mower is exercise because you can almost run when you use one. You don't have to worry about electrocution, pollution or gas cost.
Great for the environment and if you want to stop for a beer halfway through, you don't have to turn it off.
Mowing the lawn on a particularly good day where the weather isn't too hot or too cool, but good enough for a light exercise, then yes, mowing the lawn is a great exercise. The reason behind this is because you're constantly exerting force on a machine that is required to be moved. Just make sure the UV index for that day isn't too high and the weather isn't muggy otherwise you'll find yourself toasted. By mowing the lawn for 1 hour, you'll burn at the least 100-200 calories. Thats equivalent to one energy bar (an average sized bar that is).
If it's a push mower or a walk-behind mower, it can be good exercise. If it's a riding mower, it's not so much of an exercise.
But unless you have health conditions that would be aggravated by mowing (bad knees, back problems, high blood pressure, etc.), mowing in general would be good exercise.
Any movement you do that is not high impact is good for you.
Its good for you its a great form of exercise. It burns alot of calories. And also mowing can help you relieve stress. Its really great.
If all runs smoothly then great! Yeah, it's good for you. But if you fall into them unbiased blades it's bad.
Well actually any activity is good for you!!
If you have an electric or gas mower its easier than a hand pushed one for sure.. but I don't believe mowing is bad for you in any way! lol
