When is the best time do do landscaping in the midwest?

Question:going to completely redo the shrubs and flower beds around the house.

Answers:
The best time is in the spring. . but you can do landscaping at anytime. Landscaping in the middle of the summer just requires a little more care and watering. . making sure everything gets established well.

I'd say spring or fall. The availability of plant material is best in spring, but fall is kinder and less stressful on transplants. Summer is too hot an a tremendous amount of time is required to help the plants.
I live in the Northwest. We usually do all our planting in the spring, mostly because if we wait till June, the stores quit ordering plants for the year. Spring or fall is best because in the heat of summer its hard on the plants to transplant them.
