How far apart should i plant sunflowers?


Question:i planted from seeds into pots about a month ago..and there huge now...& i need to move them..i set up a nice sunny area, but i dont know how far apart they need to be from eachother..im thinking about 6 inches...but im not sure...any ideas?

If the sunflowers are large ones ,,,,do at least 18-24" apart...Good luck..the birds will probably eat your sunflowers befor you gather them....


If you have the space, try 12 to 18 inches.

Remember sunflowers get their name because they follow the sun diring the day and need room to turn.
