Do mosquito-repellent arm bands work?

Question:I just saw in a store little plastic bands that can be worn around the wrist or ankle (kind of like flea collars for pets) that are said to repel mosquitos. Has anyone tried them? Do they work at all?

Thanks for all your answers.

Answers:
It has been my experience that they only work on the area they are worn.

Rub dryer sheets on your body. I know it sounds weird but it works!!!!
