If I place several LARGE rocks around my tomatoe garden, WILL this??

Question:help in producing more &/or bigger tomatoes due to all that heat absorbed in the stones circling around each plant?

Answers:
I think it possibly could work because of the heat of the stones that will warm the ground. I grow my flowers and tomatoes on a raised garden that I constructed over asphalt. The heat of the asphalt make my plants supersized. Everything grows bigger and better and my friend also thinks it is because of the heat on the asphalt.

You should paint them red. Reflected red light has been proven to help tomatoe plants. The rocks are all ready there so why not?
no but it will make people ask why do you have a useless tomato garden in the year 2007
No rocks will not help with nothing in growing in the tomatoe plant. sorry lots sun and kept watered and feed. good luck
No, but if you pick off about half the blossoms when it flowers the rest of the tomatoes will be much much larger than they normally would because the remaining fruit gets all the nourishment the plant can offer. I do this all the time.
Yes it can help, though black mulching plastic works better.
Tomatoes do best when the nights get warm. If you mulch heavily,( I use leaves and grass clippings) , the mulch will hold in the day's heat.
.
Some people use the plastic mulch instead.
I saw an experiment where they used different colored plastic mulch and accordingly the color had no affect on plant growth, but the testers thought the red mulch produced the best fruit.
.
I don't know how you could do a test like this and be objective.
never tried it, you will need to water them alot more. good luck
