My Venis fly trap is getting too big for its pot, it needs re-potting what soil should I use?

Question:

Answers:
The Venus Flytap grows naturally in a nutrient free soil. This is the reason for their carnivorous habits. I would use either a 50/50 mix of peat and perlite or a 50/50 mix of peat and silica sand. Becareful when buying your peat moss. Some companies are putting Miracle-Gro in it these days. That will kill the plant. http://www.cobraplant.com/venus-flytrap.

just use the soil in your garden no need to buy any other soil. If you were growing in a peat pot just dig a hole and put the pot inside and after year when you dig up the peat pot will be crushed or disapeard in the soil.
