Has been for a long time now. Not sure if anything can be done to stop it.
I think in lots of things my answer is yes, it is not the free country it was , that's for sure , what are you relating to anything Pacific
They probally are.
A lot of people are finding that it's just not worth the work to dig up a full garden, and that potting vegetables is just as good.
A. You don't have to deal with rabbits.
B. You can put them in ideal locations for full sun, and also move if needed (also easier watering)
C. They are cheap re-usable; not to mention the soil is cheap too.
Not only is potting better, but for a lot of people living in large citys it is the only option.
Going? You must be really young. I don't really want to be the one to tell you this but, it's already gone to pot. It drew it's final breath in the 70s as far as I'm concerned.
What has this question to do with gardening
It has already gone to pot, and it all started with the greedy tories privatising everything and selling off council houses, it is never too late to start to put things right, but none of the current mp's look capable, and if they were, they could'nt do it in my lifetime, it makes you fearful for your children and grandchildren.
