gardenias do very well in texas and oooo so fragrant..what about honey suckle too?
climbing roses and i know morning glories vine around things they are pretty but not fragrant but i know gardenias are

I moved to illinois from texas and clematis is abundant here but I did not see it in texas alot but you can try it.. it is gorgeous here around the mail boxes and arches
