What could of eaten my tomatoes?

Question:Some animal keeps on eating a tomatoes that have turned red in my garden what could it be? The tomatoe have a little crater like hole in it.

Answers:
Leaves and small stems are normal fare for horn worms although they will occasionally munch on a green tomato. Birds will peck craters in ripe fruit. Nets over the plants are one method of control.

Probably a tomato horn worm. Here is an article that will help you understand them and deal with them. They turn into hawk moths which I think are really cool looking.

Tomato horn worms. They're green and you can't normally find them on your tomato plants. Look for little black poops and they're usually above the poop.
I would look for a crow,or a squirrel, early in the morning.
Mice, crows , chipmunks, squirrels! All of these , plus my Damn Dogs will eat ripened tomatoes. And why not! They are sweet, juicy, full of nourishing liquid, and taste, and vitamins!!!!
Groundhog?
I think a rabbit is eating mine.
It's squirrels.I don't have a good remedy for them. sorry except to spread red pepper around the edge of your garden or around the drip edge of each individual plant.
I'm guessing BIRDS! They eat my strawberries, and I looked it up, they eat red tomatoes also, especially mocking birds ;)
Try covering with a net.

I don't think that it would be tomato worms as some people have said, they usually only eat the leaves or green tomatoes.
Could be voles. It happens to me, too. I am generous. I share. And, I just cut out the area and use the rest.
