In which season do you plant a?
Question:cherry tree or a gladiolia?
Answers:
Cherry trees shouldn't be planted in the spring. The reason being, is that it is the growing season and abundant top growth will be in full swing. The newly planted root ball will not be able to keep up with the top growth, and will be somewhat stressed out during a bout with warm weather. The best time is in the fall, after the leaves have fallen from the neighborhood trees and the cherry also has lost its seasonal leafy growth. The tree will go into winter dormancy, and this is the best time. The roots after being planted in the fall, will readily start to grow and expand its bottled up root zone. By the time the next spring rolls around the roots will have grown and will be able to support the new top growth of the tree.
Gladiolas should be planted in the spring, after all dangers of frost are past. Usually April and sometimes March for some temperate areas. Plant in the spring and you will get a good, early, summer flush of one of my favorite bulbed flowers. Hope this answers your questions...

Cherry trees should be planted when the soil is starting to get cool, and the plant itself is dormant. Gladiolus bulbs should be planted in the mid-to-late spring.
plant a cherry tree in late spring
Trees in general can be planted anytime while the soil is workable. Spring is the best, then the fall. If you plant in the summer, it just means you have to care for it and water a bit more till it gets established.
Gladiolia bulbs should be planted in the spring. See if you have hardy gladiolia bulbs or not. If you have hardy one, you won't have to dig them up in the fall.
