It seems like no matter which direction I wind the string on my weedeater it never feeds string when I tap it.

Question:

Answers:
I had one that was the same way. The auto feed button on the bottom often didn't work. Just shut it down and do it manually.

You should have bought the weed eater brand.
If it has the option of two strings out two different threads on the same head, then what you need to do, Is take the string in your hand thread it through the eyelet on the spool of the head, pull both ends evenly by the tips, and be sure to hold the spot you have it even, and pull another few feet even, until you have both string all the way even, after this, grab the spool by the rim, with one hand, and take the string in the other at the base of the spool, take your point finger, and place it in between both string, and use your other four fingers to hold it whilst you wind the string on the spool in effect, keeping both strings seperate as you wind, next, put the two seperate strings in the notches on the spool head, then, be sure to allow enough string to project from both nothces in order to place in the two whole on the other compatment of the head, place the two strings in the holes, there should be a little arrow on the spool pointing which way to wind the string, thread the cap back on, and WALA there you go!

Good luck!
