Is their a way to lay down a synthetic putting green without puting sand on it?


Question:all the places i have seen say to put a layer of sand on the turf
i would like any other suggestions

Sand is the only product recommended by manufacturers of the synthetic turf for correct installation. Why would you want to use anything else?
Many syn turf companies use a ground up rubber but it's used to separate the blades as well as provide cushion. I'm not sure it's fine enough for a putting green syn turf.
