How can I harvest chives, without causing the cut ends of the plant to dry?

Question:When the chives grow back after being harvested, they become yellow and dry at the upper ends. This is a problem when you need to harvest again...

Answers:
I cut back my chive plant all the time and have never had this happen. Be sure you are just cutting off the ends, not all the way to the base of the plant.
