How do you trim a tomato plant so it will grow more tomatos?

Question:

Answers:
Don't trim it. Make sure the branches are well supported by using something like a tomato cage (there are many similar ways to do it). It needs lots of sun and regular water. Remove tomatoes when they are ripe. Only trim off spent or dead branches. That is the best way to get more tomatos!

You take a single edge razor blade, start at bottom of plant and trim all the branches 1/16 inch from main stem of plant.Do this till the stem is clean about 1/2 way up plant.Doing this doubles the fruit it will grow
The only thing you should trim on the plant are any suckers show up - suckers grow out between the main stem and many of the leaves. See http://en.allexperts.com/q/growing-veget... for more details and links to sites that show where the suckers grow.

Also, as the lower leaves yellow and die, they can be removed.
