Tips for rejuvenating grass...?
Question:I live in a maisonette and have communal grounds. I also have a dog, he obviously uses the grounds to wee in and as a result the grass is getting brown and patchy. How can I can stop the grass going brown and how can I rejuvenate what has alreayd turned brown? Obviously I don't want the neighbours getting the hump with my doggie!
Answers:
Take a jug of water with you next time he wees. Pour the whole gallon of water on the same spot he weed on and the grass will not die.
The water is a good idea and this will help even more.. sprinkle garden gypsum where he "wees", then add the water. The gypsum will break up the nitrogen salts in the urine and helps the soil maintain a better, more plant freindly chemistry.
Hehehe... a "wee-wee" dog!
Water it, and in the fall, re-seed it
Unless u follow ur doggie round with a bucket of water to dilute the wee there is very little you can do. Im worried that you let ur doggie foul a communal area anyway, why not take him out for a walk and carry a pooper scooper?
