It's some pretty neat technology and I'm living in the middle of this big science fair project right here in North Dakota, but mark my words, "they're going to screw up"! I've seen this and other scary technology produce corn on land that wouldn't grow yucca or cactus. The problem is it's already become such a big part of our local economy and the roof over my head it's hard to fight it.
Lots, because the round up will leach off into the ground water and the deep bedrock. That will come back to haunt our water supply for years and years.
The chemicals in round up are known to cause birth defects in humans. No question on that, yet the Lobiest have SUCH A STRONG GOVERNMENT FOOTHOLD THAT...A chemical known to cause birth defects is less hated than stem cell research known to stop birth defects.
So give birth to a retard...Round -Up

It is not a good idea. Our corporate scientists don't know it all and alas put profit over safety. Messing around with seed genes is not ready for prime time. So many unanticipated problems can appear when scientists (and corporations) don't take a look at the big picture. Monsanto's "special corn" that was supposed to have limited spread has now introduced it's genes into centuries old corn in Mexico. Oh, and by the way, the scientists at the universities that wrote papers pointing this out have been released from employment. Mmmm. It's time to keep our corporations from controlling research in our universities.
