Anybody have yellow-green stuff growing in your yard?

Question:The blades are shaped kindalike crabgrass, but stands up. I'm in zone 7 in Oklahoma. I can't find it in ANY of my gardening texts. If I had a name I could find it on my own. BTW, I sprayed with 2-4-D.

Answers:
yellow nutsedge.. with all of the rain you've had, I'm sure it's going absolutely nuts..

2-4D will cripple it.. it will take a lot to kill it, though.. roundup can work, but it kills everything else, too..

there are chemicals that you can buy to deal with it.. try a good garden center for their recommendation.
