Does anyone know if it is safe to use a herbicide called weedking to kill morning glories & iron weed on okra?

Question:the plants are producing vegetables at this time and i know that i can't use it on tomatoes just not sure about okra

Answers:
read the label, but I bet it kills your okra, too. Most of the herbicides are broad spectrum and kill everything.

I don't know anything about weedking I can tell you this, pulling and hoeing is much safer.
do not use weedking on any plant that you want to live, it will kill anything it is applied to, but it will not completely kill morning glory. A morning glory root will grow in the ground 12-18 inches, the best way i have found to get rid of the problem is to take an eye dropper and use full strength round-up or weedkill and drop 1-2 drops when the morning glory begans to open the flower, this send the herbicide straigth to the roots, the key is you cannot water for 24 hours. If you gid up the morning glory you will see what i mean about the roots being so long, just pulling the plant out by hand makes it grow more unless you dig down deep enough.
I like morning glories and okra myself, but iron weeds are a different story. I don't like using any kind of herbicide or weed killer. My family and I just pull up unwanted weeds or vines around our plants before plowing.

Herbicide are very dangerous, especially around water suppies and around pets or their food. Never use any kind of weed killer around any plant (veggies or fruit), that you or anyone else is going to eat.

If you have to use herbicides, read the labels carefully and take every precaution before using.
Roundup or glyphosate is the way to go! In addition to drops you can use a paint brush and brush the weeds, grass and flowers you want to kill. This is a good way to localize herbicide application.
