How much is it for someone to drill for a water well?
Question:i live in mabelton ga,how much is it for a cotractor to come a drill for a water well.

Lockdaddy is right -- the drilling charges are by the foot.
So it really depends on how far down they have to drill to get water in your area. If you are right over an aquifer with good water (not too salty for example) and not too many other people drilling, then you may not have to drill very deep.
Talk to some drilling contractors. They are usually VERY knowledgeable about aquifers in your area. Drillers in my area can estimate how far down and how good the water just by knowing what street we live on!!
The other costs do add up though (pumps, tanks, electricity to the pump, etc.)

The price is by the foot. Most have a set price per foot. They will drill down til they hit water then measure how far and there is your price minus the pump and any other charge they want to add.
Around $1500.00-$2,000.
