Question:Nothing including pellets work - it seems they multiply!

Answers:
put out contaners with salt. its fun to watch them die

moth balls
I've heard putting a saucer of beer down among the plants fixes the problem.
Salt
salt does work but do not put it near any plants cause it will kill them as well.
wood ashes work if you have any. If not, a shallow saucer of beer attracks them, and then they drown
Simple, humble, economical epsom salt!
Feeds your garden too.

By all means, avoid table salt.
These will cut & dehydrate the slugs, & eliminate them: sharp sand, lava rock, diatamaceous earth, cedar mulch, crushed eggshells.

Strong coffee poured on slugs kills them. Put coffee grounds around acid-loving plants.

Sprinkle Chili pepper on slugs..

Oat bran should kill the slugs. Just sprinkle some in your garden. Also, you can trap & drown them with any liquid fermented material, such as yeast disolved in warm water.

Good luck! Hope this helps.
Slug soup. Better than escargoe.
