My new FEBCO backflow preventer is leaking why?

Question:There is water gushing out of the bell and shooting out of the bottom air intake. I just hooked up the systems and went ot test it. Turned on the back flow valves and out came water all over the place. It won't stop... What would be the reason for this water coming out by the busket loads?

could be a little thing like a plastic washer not sitted properly! i'd take the thing apart again and do it again. if the same thing happens then take it back cuz it's probably bad!
