Here's what my grandma uses as her italian seasoning. Trust me, it's to die for.
2 Tbsp dried basil
2 Tbsp dried marjoram
2 Tbsp dried oregano
2 Tbsp dried coriander
2 Tbsp dried thyme
2 Tbsp dried rosemary
2 Tbsp dried savory
1 tsp hot red pepper flakes
Perfect for sauce and anything Italian.
there is different sorts of italian seasonings for different things. For a salad dressing it would be;
fresh garlic, fresh parsley,(fresh sweet basil leaves,I perfer ) or fresh oregano but never both at same time,salt and pepper to taste ,olive oil,balsmic red vinegar, onion powder and of course grated romano cheese.
Italian Seasoning:
Basil, Oregano, Thyme, and Parsley.
Rosemary is good for chicken and turkey, Sage is good with chicken as well ( a little goes a long way) and mint is good for everything.
Hope this helps.
Trilli.
