My gas trimmer engine runs but trim head does not turn what is wrong??

If your weed wacker has a curved tube between the motor and the string head, you have a broken drive "cable". These are fairly cheap and fairly easy for a DIY. If your trimmer has a straight tube that has a straight angle attached head, things can get complicated and spendy. It could be a bad clutch, drive shaft or one of two gears. Best left to a pro to repair. RScott

Sounds like the drive shaft is either broken or has come apart.

The shaft is definitely broken.
