Should I water plants with epsom salt before or after a rain? Does it matter?
Question:heard that epsom salt helps plants with intake of plant food. True??
Answers:
I see no need in it if your plants are growing well. Epsom salt only increases the magnesium in your soil. If you water with miracle grow or probably other fertilizers they contain trace elements of magnesium.
You can always go to your ag agent at the county extention office in your county to get mailers to put soil in and mail them to the address specified. You will recieve a free report back with them telling you of all of the chemicals in your soil and at what levels. Even tells you what to add!
i doubt it, salt kills most every living thing !! what is the difference between regular salt and Epsom salt?
just don't water your plants after it rains (the plants get the rain water) and from all the rain + if you water them they will dround
Salt is often used to kill slugs in the lawn, but it also kills plants. Believe me they wilt and die quickly.
Try our own experiment, dig up a weed and put it in a plastic pot with some dirt. Water it with Epsom salts and see how quickly it dies.

Once every 2 weeks, mix 1 tablespoon of Epsom's salts and 1 tablespoon plant food per gallon of water. Water plants as usual. Believe it or not, the salt will NOT kill your plants! It helps them absorb the plant food, and makes them greener.
Does it matter? Have you tried it both ways to see what the difference was?
I would be interested in learning the results of an experiment such as this.
