How do i start a seedling from an acorn?

Question:

Answers:
Starting Oaks from acorns can be both fun and disappointing depending on how you go about starting this project. First select seed from good stock you know from that perfect tree you always wanted in your yard. I then start from the acorn stage in the fall, I plant mine in a 6 in. clay field tile. I bury the tile flush with the ground and then fill the tile with sand. I then plant the acorn about 1-1/2-2 in. deep, then cover the tile with heavy 1/4 in square wire mesh screen, this keeps the squirrels out. In the spring the little seedling starts growing and I remove the screening. After the tree is about a1 ft tall or so or before I think the roots have grown to the bottom of the tile, I then dig up the clay tile and slowly rinse the sand away from the all the roots. I can now remove the new tree and can plant the oak were ever I want it. I have done this for years with great results.

It's not that hard at all
You could give it to a squirrel and he could do it for you..I put out a tub of mixed nuts out on the deck for the squirrels and the next thing I know, there are oak trees in my gardens

so the only logical response would be to find a spot in your garden and plant the acorn - they are very easy.
Fall is the best time of year to plant make sure you did the hole deep otherwise the squirrels will get them
