Purple caulifower??

Question:for the first time i've tried growing some cauliflowers, they are a good size, but im finding that they are starting to turn a light shade of purple, have i done something wrong. Are they still edible.

Answers:
Hi there.
You have done nothing wrong, they are perfectly edible.
Enjoy, Steve.

do you know the variety you bought? there is such a thing as purple cauli. it originally came from Italy. maybe you have that variety? Good Luck.
Most cauliflowers grown and sold in the UK are not cauliflowers but Broccoli and some species of Broccoli have purple "flowers". The plants are only doing what is natural. If you are offended by eating light purple "cauliflowers" pick them sooner before they start to change colour.
it sounds like you,ve planted brocoli check with your suppler
