Impatience flowers come in so many colors why not yellow?does anyone know the answer?

Question:

Answers:
Actually, yes they do come in yellow now. It has taken a while to perfect this colour. It is not easy but they have to breed each season genetically to mutate the colours. Yellow is the hardest to do this with but it can be done..

Because the two parents that produced the hybrid Impatiens (busy lizzie) did not contain the genetic wherewithal to produce yellow flowers. As with blue Roses and Carnations, if the parents do not have it, neither will their offspring.
I recall seeing double yellow impatiences.
